Customers find it useful to rent our meters because:

• It is a chance to evaluate the meter as a potential purchase (and if you go on to purchase the meter then the rental cost is deducted from the purchase price);
• You may only need a meter for certain times of the year;
• Your budget can afford a smaller, regular payment more easily than a single CAPEX item.
• You want to own a meter and would like to spread the payments over a long period.

All our rental meters are supplied in the standard package that you would get if you bought the meter outright, and benefit from full warranty support. Long term rental costs include an on-going warranty as well as a periodic return-to-base service and calibration check.

Note that all prices are in British Pounds (£ GBP), and are subject to VAT where appropriate. Despatch is normally within 5 working days from receipt of order & payment. For long term rentals (12 months, or longer), ongoing payments are required monthly / quarterly in advance of the rental period.

If you wish to purchase your rental meter during or at the end of your hire period, all rental payments must have been made according to terms with no breaks.  This ensures that all payments are deducted from the final purchase price.  Late payments constitute a break in agreement and therefore cannot be deducted from final purchase price.

Long term rental

If you take a long term rental then the meter kit is yours to keep after the final payment. A long term rental, therefore, can be seen as a way to spread the payments of a meter purchase over a longer term.

Terms & Conditions

1. The equipment supplied on Outright Purchase Terms remains the exclusive property of Distell.com until full payment has been received.
2. The equipment supplied under the terms and conditions of a short term rental agreement remains the exclusive property of Distell.com. Where applicable, the equipment will be supplied with accessories forming part of the specified package.
3. The equipment supplied under the terms and conditions of a long term rental agreement remains the exclusive property of Distell.com until receipt of the final monthly payment. Thereafter title to the equipment will pass to the lessor.
4. Proof of identification and permanent address are required. All short term rentals must be paid in advance. A formal purchase order must be received and signed by a duly authorised representative of the customer / company.
5. The customer / company is responsible for maintaining insurance cover over the equipment during the rental period. Where equipment is to be insured by Distell, this must be requested in writing prior to commencement of the rental. An insurance claim excess of £ 200.00 is payable by the customer / company in the event of a claim. Insurance charges are available upon request.
6. Distell.com may request the return of the equipment at any time. This request will in no way prejudice Distell’s rights to period charges and any other ancillary charges up to the date of safe return of the equipment.
7. A delivery / uplift charge is payable in the event that the customer cannot arrange to uplift / or return the equipment at the commencement / expiry of the agreement. The charge is subject to location and can be notified in advance on request.
